Nearly there!!

Yesterday we had our penultimate dose of vincristine. Just one more to go and we will be finished. I have to say I am very excited about finishing treatment, and even more excited at the prospect of Adi's central line being taken out (though we don't know when that will be yet). We haven't let it stop us from having fun - last
Nothing will stop Adi from having fun!
weekend we wrapped the lines up in a polythene bag and taped them out of harms’ way, added the protection of a supermarket plastic carrier bag and off she went to enjoy the sprinkler!  Only the best for Adi so, of course, it had to be a Waitrose bag.  Nothing less would do!  But I do look forward to the day we don't have to go through that palaver and I can just send her off to splash.

The oncology nurse at Great Ormond Street was very happy with Adi's progress and remarked on how well she looked. Adi also had an eye test yesterday and, again, they are very happy with her. She's having to wear an eye patch to strengthen her left eye and in only 2 months, they have seen great improvement!

So, we have one more dose of vincristine next Friday and then an MRI scan on 30th July 2013, followed by one every 3 months to monitor her.   She'll also have to have all her vaccinations again as the chemo will have wiped out the ones she had before and, obviously, numerous appointments to monitor her hearing, her eyesight, etc. so it is by no means over but  I am hoping very much that she will start nursery next term. Fingers and toes crossed.
